Drop Pocket Revival

Hey there!  Hope you’re doin’ well and aren’t don’t have a case of the Mondays.  I’m still working on photographing and sharing everything I made at The Retreat in February, and will also be sharing some Thowback Thursday makes.  There’s also something secret and bloggy that I’m pretty excited about coming your way this Saturday!

I shared the Jalie tunic I made last week, and now here’s one of the cardigans I whipped up!  This is Jalie 3248, the Drop Pocket Cardigan, which I’ve previously made (poorly)

Jalie 3245 Tunics

Happy March!  It came in like a lion here with a crazy thunderstorm with torrential rain followed by snowfall all the next day.  You be crazy, Mother Nature.  Anyway, back to our regularly scheduled sewing blog…

I heart me some Jalie.  I think that is apparent from all of the Jalie I’ve sewn up and there’s more yet to come!  The first time I used this pattern was the racerback version for a combination dress and swim cover up for our honeymoon back in 2014, which I never blogged.  It took me another three years to realize just how fabulous it is in the raglan version…

February Plans: Part One

Thanks for your kind words on my quilt!  :D  I am so happy to have it done and really appreciate it.  Would also be so appreciative for your vote at PR for the contest!

UFO Contest 2017

And yeah, you read that post title right.  I have so many sewing plans for February that they need to be split into TWO MOFOING BLOG POSTS.  Now that’s a spicy meatball!

Why so many sewing plans?  I get to attend a UFO retreat with my sister in law J (thanks for watching the pumpkin, sweet Mr. 5!) next week!  J manages a quilt shop in central Wisconsin and they’re hosting an awesome retreat for folks to finish up their unfinished pretties!  And I got invited!  Squee!

That said, I currently have no unfinished pretties (Huzzah!).  Since finishing my quilt, I have been cutting patterns and fabric in preparation for an ENTIRE LONG WEEKEND of sewing.  To say I’m stoked is an understatement.
