Sew Selfless September: Jalie 3022

So, I’m almost a month late with this.  I’m not gonna lie, these pants were not completed in September.  I finished them on October 4th and then didn’t get photos taken for 2 more weeks after that.   I did start them in September, though!

2020-02-12_0290Oscar is such a ham…gotta be involved in everything!

My friend Amanda and I signed up for a yoga class together this Fall, so I thought, what a better thing to make her than some yoga pants?  Unexpectedly, she took a flight off of her bike (so scary!) and broke her hand, so these yoga pants will just be for chillaxing purposes for now.  Continue to heal well, Amanda!

Sew Selfless September: McCall’s 6966

Well, this is a tad late, but it was a little slow going between my short participation in the Fashion Challenge 2, and my September dental torture procedure (God bless nitrous oxide.  However, I’m not sure the issue was fixed, as I’m having pain again.  :(  I despair), but here is my second Sew Selfless September item!

It’s McCall’s 6966 (which you already knew by the post title) and the same pattern I used for my Mini Wardrobe gathered silk georgette skirt.  I made this skirt for my sis, K.  While we were shopping last Fall, we found pretty much this exact skirt at Gap and she really loved it, so I decided to whip her up one!

FESA: Ooh La Leggings and a Passionate PSA

Thanks for all your very sweet compliments on my Burda top!

I got my first make of FESA done a couple of weeks ago, and you got a sneak peek on Thursday when I shared my TBT Burda top. I’ve finished my Papercut Patterns’ Ooh La Leggings!

Here’s the full outfit together:

More on them in a bit, I just need to get something off of my chest…

I can hear your internal dialogue as you read this: “Alrighty then… But, they cover your legs and you’re wearing them like pants… Also, who died and made you Queen?” Hell if I know, but it has to be said.

Fall Essentials Sew-Along!

I’ve been a bit ebb and flow on the posting lately, but if there’s one thing I know, it’s that this is a fantastic idea:

SSS: Weekly Wrap Up Round 4

And now we have finally made it:  the last Sew Selfless September weekly wrap up.

Beth from Sewing After Dark made an adorable dress for her daughter, which you can see here (privacy settings won’t allow me to post the photo here on the blog).

* * * * *

And that’s all she wrote!

I bet you’re also wondering where my last two items are…they’re done, but I have been terrible with getting photos of anything lately, thus the scant posting.  You’ll see them sometime this month, I expect!

Thank you guys so much for sewing with me – it was totally awesome to see what everyone came up with!  :)
